Because of the few, we have set strict regulations to fishing at Little Switzerland Resort with severe fines for the breach of these rules.
  • Tackle
  • Only recognized fly fishing rods with AFTM (American Fishing Tackle Manufacturers) written somewhere on the butt are permitted.
  • Only recognized fly fishing reels are allowed No fixed spool reels(coffee grinders), multipliers or centre-pin reels are allowed.
  • Only fly line that is AFTM coded.
  • Any style of leader or tippet may be used.
  • Absolutely no natural baits or artificial lures are permitted. Only barbless flies will be allowed..
  • Bag Limit
  • 2 Fish per permit.
  • Catch Release
  • If, for any reason, the fish is bleeding after the hook is removed, its chance of
  • survival is minimal. Rather keep the fish than returning it to the water
  • Record Keeping
  • Little Switzerland is in the process of setting up a management program for the stocking of our waters. Your assistance in accurately recording information in the fishing book will enable us to better manage our waters, and in the long run benefit all those who enjoy the sport.
